Getting around the city

Seville is not a very big city and it’s easy to get around by public transport, bike or on foot. Strolling around the city is a great way to discover hidden places and fall in love with Seville as you appreciate the orange blossom scent while you wander by its orange tree-lined streets. And what’s more, as Seville is a very walkable place, almost every local just moves by using their feet. So to experience Seville as a local, do as sevillanos do!

TUSSAM

Seville Bus System

The bus system in Seville (TUSSAM) is efficient and practical and it’s the cheapest way to move around the city. You can buy a one-trip ticket for 1,40€ on the bus.

Using a tourist card for 1 or 3 days you have unlimited access to buses for that period. If you need more information, consult fares here (only Spanish version available).

Tussam is especially useful if you plan to go a little farther from the city centre. Dark red TUSSAM buses run from 7 am to 11.30 pm from Monday to Sunday. There are special schedules on weekends.

When taking a bus in Seville, remember these handy tips:

  • If you buy your ticket to the bus driver, exact change will be appreciated (compulsory after 9 pm).

  • When you are the only person at the bus stop, remember to slightly wave at the bus so it will pick you up.

  • Ring the bell to get off at the next stop.

  • Nocturnal buses end at 2 am. Do not forget that or you’ll have to go home on foot or take a taxi.

METRO DE SEVILLA

Subway

The subway (metro) is another clean and safe alternative to move around the city.

Fares aren’t too expensive (0,82€ is the cheapest ticket you can buy) and trains run from 6.30 am to 11 pm from Monday to Thursday.

See more fares information and schedules on Metro de Sevilla Website.

SEVICI

Bike share system

Sevici bike share system

Biking is a climate-friendly alternative to discover the city through its more thant 120 km of bike lanes.

Sevici, Seville’s bike share system, offers a one week bike lease option (11€ + a deposit of 250€ that is refunded one week after). You can ride the first 30 minutes for free so if you need a longer bike ride just return the bike to the nearest station, wait 3 minutes and remove another free one for 30 minutes. You’ll avoid spending more money and discover Seville at your leisure.

See more info on Sevici Website.

METRO CENTRO

Tram

Metro Centro (Tram)

Whenever you want your feet to have a rest, taking the tram is another good alternative. The line isn’t too large and it goes through the historic centre (from San Bernardo to Plaza Nueva).

The tram uses the same tickets as the bus system (TUSSAM).

Trains run from 6 am to 11.30 pm (6 am to 1.50 am on Saturdays and 7 am to 11.30 pm on Sundays).
